Compassion
First's mandate is simple:
We help those who can't help themselves. We investigate
animal neglect and cruelty cases all across Northeast Mississippi.
From dogs and cats, to horses and ferrets, we're serious
about what we do. You can help.

The Mission
Compassion First is a unique
organization with a simple goal: help animals. We
came into being because we thought animals in our
area needed someone else on their side.
We are not extremists. We are
not wackos who believe animals are equal to man. We
believe man has dominion over animals, and with that
dominion comes a responsibility to see that animals
are treated with the compassion due them as another of
God's creations.
We are not bound by city or
county boundaries. To the best of our ability, we
will go wherever animals in Northeast Mississippi
are in need of assistance. We are not encumbered by
bureaucracy. Our organization is lean, agile, and
ready to act quickly.
When necessary, we will call
on law enforcement agencies to help us remove
animals from bad situations. If asked, we will also
assist law enforcement agencies who may have
questions about the laws that are in place to
protect animals.
We are a non-profit
organization, at this point funded solely by
contributions.
